Ohio's Largest Playground From Kings Island coaster hills, Great Wolf Lodge resort thrills and Beach waterpark wild water spills, to charming antique/specialty shops and river and bike trail scenery stops, it's easy to see why tourism is Warren County's leading industry.

 



Parks & Recreation
Great Miami Bike Trail
The trail is just a block from downtown along the banks of the Great Miami River and passes remnants of the historic hydraulic headgates and dam as well as the historic log cabin post office, amazing murals in downtown and historic homes. It continues 30 miles north into Montgomery County and Dayton MetroParks.

Community Park and Harmon Park offer swimming, tennis, softball, soccer, picnic areas and playgrounds.

Golf
Franklin Golf Club is a 9-hole course open to the public

Bowling & Sand Volleyball
JD Legends and Strike Zone Lanes offer 26 lanes of year-round bowling and 3 outdoor sand volleyball courts amidst the largest outdoor tiki bar and concert venue in the state.

Museums & History
Log Post Office—River & Fifth Street. Commissioned by Thomas Jefferson, the original log structure housed the first post office in the area. Right on the bike path at River and Fifth Streets. Drinking fountain and benches.

Harding MuseumHarding Museum

Franklin’s Town Clock—401 S. Main Street. The restored clock chimes on the hour during daylight hours.

Warren County Geneaological Society
406 Justice Drive, Lebanon (the Warren County Administration Building) Open M-F 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.and Wednesdays by appointment. Call (513) 695-1144. The society offers Bible records (birth, death, marriage), county histories, family biographies, census and cemetery records.

Shops & Sights Transportation & Bicentennial Mural—Sixth and Main Streets. Commissioned for the Ohio Bicentennial, this mural features modes of transportation that were the backbone of Franklin’s success. Includes the only Ohio Bicentennial Mural in the state that is not on a barn.

Veteran’s Memorial Mural

Trompe D’Oeil Mural

Suspension Bridge Mural
—Third & Main Streets. The third Roebling suspension bridge was in Franklin, following Cincinnati and Brooklyn.

—Franklin Public Library, Fourth Street & Riley Blvd. In the children’s library you’ll see familiar Franklin buildings.
